The registration for the “The Quantum Simulators of the Future” is open

The Italian city of Trieste will host “The Quantum Simulators of the Future” workshop. The Dynamite project is co-sponsoring the event, and the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) is organizing it locally. The workshop will occur at the ICTP from February 20th to 22nd, 2024. Thirteen confirmed speakers will attend, bringing together some of the most influential and pioneering groups in quantum simulation

The agenda for this two-days event will include presentations from experts who design, experimentally realize and characterize the next generation of quantum simulators. Monika Aidelsburger (LMU), Tilman Esslinger (ETHZ), Philipp Hauke (University of Trento), Leticia Tarruell (ICFO) and Kakub Zakrzenwski (Insitute of Therotical Physics of Krakow), all of them partners of Dynamite project, are amongst the speakers.
The event will showcase novel quantum simulators, categorized by increasing experimental complexity. Initially, we will examine systems where density-dependent gauge fields modify particle statistics, giving rise to topological gauge theories. Next, we’ll focus on systems in dynamical lattices, where the environment interacts with particles. Finally, we’ll delve into lattice gauge theory models, starting with simpler Abelian symmetry models and progressing to more complex non-Abelian ones.

The organizing committee is composed of distinguished individuals from various institutions. In particular, it includes Dynamite project members Javier Arguello-Luengo, Maciej Lewenstein, and Leticia Tarruell from ICFO-The Institute of Photonic Sciences in Spain. Furthermore, Tilman Esslinger from ETH-Zurich in Switzerland, Jakub Zakrzewski from the Institute of Theoretical Physics in Poland, and Marcello Dalmonte from ICTP as a local organizer are also integral members of this committee.

The workshop is not only free to attend with no registration fee, but the ICTP is also offering a limited number of grants to support the participation of selected individuals.

However, please note that the deadline for standard registration is rapidly approaching on December 1st.
