The Italian city of Trieste will host the “The Quantum Simulators of the Future” workshop, co-sponsored by the Dynamite project. The workshop will take place from February 20th to 22nd, 2024, at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) facilities. The ICTP act as local organizer. The workshop, featuring 13 confirmed speakers, will bring toghether some of the most influential and pioneering groups in the field of quantum simulation.
The agenda for this two-days event will include presentations from experts who design, experimentally realize and characterize the next generation of quantum simulators. Monika Aidelsburger (LMU), Tilman Esslinger (ETHZ), Philipp Hauke (University of Trento), Leticia Tarruell (ICFO) and Kakub Zakrzenwski (Insitute of Therotical Physics of Krakow), all of them partners of Dynamite project, are amongst the speakers.
The event will focus on novel quantum simulators according to increasing levels of experimental complexity: systems where density-dependent gauge fields can change the effective quantum statistics of the particles and realize topological gauge theories, systems in dynamical lattices, and finally lattice gauge theory models, from systems with Abelian to non-Abelian local gauge symmetry.
The organizing committee includes also Dynamite project members Javier Arguello-Luengo, Maciej Lewenstein, and Leticia Tarruell from ICFO-The Institute of Photonic Sciences (Spain), Tilman Esslinger from ETH-Zurich (Switzerland), Jakub Zakrzewski from the Institute of Theoretical Physics (Poland), and Marcello Dalmonte from ICTP as a local Organizer.
The workshop has no registration fee. Furthermore, a limited number of grants provided by the ICTP to support the attendance of selected participants.
The deadline for standard registration is the next 1st of December.
